Dennis Fisher just north of Boise, Marshall Worthington around Idaho Falls or Steve Mohr just north of Bellingham in BC. Go to plottworld.com and post and you'll find plenty. I heard of three well bred young dogs in N. Cal that were up for sale that I might be able to track down if you can't find anything and are interested. Check out ursusplotts.com

You could try Brent Ottosen (on here as Brentsbiggamehounds). I know he's got dogs for sale, may not be plotts (he's got a little of everything) but they do catch game that's for sure. His dogs all handle real nice and put game in the trees (I had the pleasure of hunting with him and his dogs and had to buy a pup out of his dogs for myself!). I know how it goes with wanting to get plotts (I've had pretty much only plotts for 19yrs and never owned a walker - didn't like the breed much but he had 2 young walker dogs that changed my mind). His website is www.brentsbiggamehounds.com he is right near Coure D'Alene

Bill you sound like a "plottguy" just get a plott or in your case just get a walker.
ALL DOGS ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And for those of you that think so you have never hunted with a top shelf dog . Top shelf bear dogs are not every back yard and they do come in all colors and breeds . No matter what color you like do your homework and you can find what you are looking for . And just for you bill you will probably look a lot harder for that top shelf beardog in the walker breed than one in the plott breed

I have seen a few really good Plotts and there is no dought that they are top dogs. Heck I even hunt with a guy that has Plotts, I just like to tease the Plott guys. I just like over sized Beagles.
