anyone out there have a experiance hunting lion/bobcat with catahoula's. would ya share some knowlege/stories

catahoulas will flat get after a cat used one of mine on several that were getting my chickens only trouble is my catahoulas are tight mouthed and it was hell figuring out wich way they went . but with a tracking system it would probabley be ok

Very cool i was lookin at one (catahoula/dane mix) but passed cause of how shy she was

lots of youngbloods think you need an ill dog to have a hard dog. they are flat wrong. many a good game catching dog has been mild mannered & even downright afraid of people.

thats right on pops the only humans my dogs ever see is me and maybe 2 other hunting partners they are extreemly shy or wary around people they dont know . and i like it that way

hard to steal a dog that won't let you get close enough to grab him.

There might be some truth to that but i prefer a well socailized and good manored dog. I like coopertive. Somthing that I can send out with my 9 year old newphew into a big bottom and the dog will work for him. I not dog-smart enough to take on a rescued DANE/catahoula thats scared of her on shadow. At 5 months she was 45lb!! thats alot of feed for a roll of the dice. I still like the idea of that cross though.
