Tom for 12 year old boy
Went out the other day and cut this toms track. Dogs ran him for a couple of miles and got him treed. A friend of ours 12 year old son had his first lion tag and was thrilled to harvest this cat. He's gonna have a good story to tell all of his friends.

Re: Tom for 12 year old boy
That's what I like to see......another good defination of startinum young....
Hats off to you Cohoundsman for takin a kid out hunting and giving him an experience few his age will ever have.
We need more hunts like this to take place with young people or we will be the dying breed!
Congratulations .....and tell that young fella to sit down and write an essay on his experience and share with other young hunters out there it's very important he passes on that experience .
This young lad came on the captures with us and after he wrote his story for a report in school they have asked that I come and talk to the kids to enlighten them on cougars and their place in the enviornment so that those less fortuniate can see what hunting and wildlife management is about.
Good Hunting
Brent

Thanks guys. Hats off to you too Brent. Taking youngsters along on the study is the way to go. I wish when I was a kid I could have had an opportunity like that. I have hunted all my life, but what you guys are doing is neat. we have a study going on here in colorado, but the man running it isnt really what I would call a friend to lion hunters, so I havent tried to get involved with it.

Re: Tom for 12 year old boy
you just changed his perspective of life. take him again if possible. give the young a positive opportunity to achieve with their energy and the results are amazing. thanks for taking him. i take my daughter (15) every chance i can get her out of bed early enough.
