Leopards
Leopards
I have been doing alot of reading and looking around on this breed and really like what it sounds/looks like. I am just looking forward here a year or 2 but is there anybody breeding them for bear/cats in the NW? I am in the south eastern portion of BC. I am just trying to have all the research and info swapping and talking done by the time I decide to add to my pack. If anybody has any info at all it would be great!

Re: Leopards
Are you look to get a Leopard hound or The original Leopard cur before the hound blood was added ? If you like the cur I would talk to Randy Ollier he owns the registry for the ALCBA and can tell you everyone that owns them all over the US & Canada his # 530-335-2477

Re: Leopards
Well that is a good question. What would be the difference if any? Would one work better than the other for bear/cats? Other than that I am not sure if it would matter much as I am only concerned with catching game.Jeff Eberle wrote:Are you look to get a Leopard hound or The original Leopard cur before the hound blood was added ?
EDIT: I didn't notice you edited your post, thanks for the info.

Re: Leopards
Nick Riley has some great dogs, he's in MT and he runs Leopard Hounds. Mike Toth aka Lepcur in CA has a litter of Leopard Curs once in a while. Randy Oller aka GreyFox in Northern CA has a waiting list and has a litter of Leopard Curs now and then. I'll probably have a litter next year if these two young dogs turn out as nice as I think they will. They are Leopard Curs. They are both out of Randy Oller's dogs. They come from the McDuffie line of Leopard Curs.

Re: Leopards
Fred, thanks for the complement.
All my dogs are or will be(in the near future) ALCBA(cur) and UKC(hound) registered. I call my dogs MUTTS because that's what I think they are.
Wardogg, I use my dogs on bobcat and lion in NW Montana. They aren't perfect but do better for me than anything I have tried so far and I like them a lot no mater what you call them. Nick

I have a leopard cur, i aquired 5 years ago. I wish I had the papers on him to figure out where he came from. I got him from a guy in riggins. Best bear dog I own, or have owned. Have been thinking of breeding him to my duncan female.
