Fort Collins

Post by pennstatepitt »

Anyone from the Fort Collins area of Colorado, or been there? The reason I'm asking is I'm looking to go to graduate school in 2 years, for something in plant science related to agriculture. I'm looking for a place where I'll be able to run hounds. I have two goals for this, I want to run scenthounds, and I also want to run jackrabbits with sighthounds. I like Colorado state's Ag school, plus it looks like it might be a good area for my hunting intrests. Any thoughts or experiences?

I know just to the east about 10 to 20 miles there are tons of Jack Rabits. A place called Pawnee Grass Lands. There is a lot of public land there. Just to the west of there is a place called Poudre Canyon area. That area has some cats but not one of the best places.
