Snowmobile
Snowmobile
I have asked for help about sleds before but now my budget has got smaller. Im looking for a sled big enough to haul 3 dogs in a trailer behind and get around on trails and a some backcountry stuff. Looking to spend 6-800 looking for suggestions on what brand and size to look for in that price range as well as year any help would be great thanks

Re: Snowmobile
I just picked up a polaris 550, fan cooled, 2 up, reverse, 2001. It's a trail sled that all the rental places use. There are a ton of them out there. Craigslist has 4-5 on it right now. I know West Yellowstone is having an auction coming up and will be selling a hundred of them. This one had been sitting out front of a place in a small town up the road for two years. I stopped in and asked him if he wanted to sell it. It needs a new seat cover and we couldn't get it to start. I brought it home, dumped out the old gas and it started right up. Runs great. I had to replace the fuel pickup line in the tank, they all go bad, it took 15 minutes. They go 1500-2000 or so now on craigslist. I paid 300.

I have a 94 Polaris 440, 2 up, fan cooled that I would sell for $800. It has the hitch for a trailer, but I haven't used it in 2 years. It runs good, or did last I started it. Mine pulls 6 dogs pretty good. I like the fan cooled the best when the snow gets hard.
