Well I see that many Folks have read JC's suggestion yet no one has answered.

Folks the South Texas Gathering is quite a nice affair, Old Friends get to visit, Friends who have crossed the BIG RIVER are remembered, Good HOUNDS get better, and Fellowship is enjoyed with new Friends who share the same LOVE for Hearing the Hounds after a Bobcat!

If there is enough interest I bet Buddyw and others can put together Sponsors for a nice Big Meal!

You never know when you might make a Friend who can help with a Hound or other problem.

Car Pooling from an area will help spread the Cost.

Sounds like an Opportunity to me!

I may be up to it but I figured I would wait until a whole bunch of people already committed. That way I wouldn't run everybody off.

I have not gone to any for several years, but use to very much enjoy going to the OUSDA CONVENTION each year. This year I believe it is in the 14 th. of april. Now that I/m retired would enjoy going if things were different. This might be a worth cause for the young guys. It is a family event, dinner, band, dance , drawings, could win a garmin collar this year. If I,m off on any of this maybe Don, Dewey, Tim or Buddy will correct me. Believe some of the wife & kids would really enjoy it. And if any of you locals go & meet Bob Baker tell him Al said to sell them plotts & GET HIM A REAL HOUND. Seriously you will not meet a nicer person than Bob Baker. Zip recently express how important it is to have numbers when trying to get rules passed or defeated that effect our hunting regulations. J C didn/t want to be first to support the cat hunters event ( it would only be a 2 mile trip for me ) but, since C. John broke the ice, that is an event hopefully I could make. Thanks Al Baldwin

It'd be a very far trip for us east side guys. I definitely would like making such a deal. Also I wouldn't mind a few more trials that were closer.

hey jc if you have a bear drag at a bobcat hunters weekend , i think all you should hear out of the dogs is the desperate howls as we are all pushing the button on 6 as the dogs are flying back to the truck!

George you stole my line. :) My family and I will be there. We will help with what ever we can. I am excited to meet cat hunters from out of the area. One rule. No good ole strike dogs with-in a 10 mi radius of Powers. . Thanks. John.

Are clueless hound owners welcome. Pretty sure I cant say I'm a cat hunter. I did do some dog following this year.

Folks,

I talked with Dad about this....he said that God willing (meaning his health holds) we will be there. My Mom has a Brother in the SF Bay area and she has been wanting us to make a trip out to see him.

This held very little appeal to Dad...now going to meet other Bobcat Hunters and exchange Ideas, Stories and Fellowship, that he is for. So we are planning to drop Mom in SF, say our Hellos and Good byes in the same breath and hit the I 5 heading North.

I personally want to see what kind of Cook JC is going to turn out to be.

We have talked to some of the CA Bobcat/Fox Hunters we know and some of them are sure going to try to be there.

This could sure turn into an Event for the Ages....maybe enough to get Ole David to come back home to Oregon for a Day or two.
