first hog hunt

Post by BJ »

Went out yesterday after work just messin around to see if we could find a pig or two. my blue tick and buddies cur have never seen a hog so we took them along they bayed hard in a marsh with tall thick reeds we couldnt see it but heard it. there was at least 12 that we saw but i think there were more that stayed after the dogs took off after a group that broke off a couple short bays after that but they couldnt get one stopped long enough for pics. i think they did pretty good for their first time out. i didnt realize how much country them pigs could cover. we could have killed a few but it was just as much fun without it. gotta find a good catch dog now. ha ha i might be addicted

the swamps arnt froze here. i moved to nevada just never changed my profile. the pigs left i cant find them again there arent enough that you can just go out and find everyday lots of luck and time needed. or a rig dog or somethin to help locate. sage brush and trees are to thick to glass and find.
