What breed and bloodline
I am looking for two pups to buy and start. The end result that I want is a all around Female hound that weights no more than 45 lbs. with average nose and alot of desire and stamina. What breed and bloodline should I be looking into? Thanks

Walkers, blueticks, redtick, black and tans, English, Redbones... I've heard make some decent hounds if that helps. I pretty much run dogs that have a little of each in the pedigree just to make sure I don't miss something (mutts!). Good luck bud

That footwork would be better if you did it!

Is no one breeding hounds that are making good dogs?
Re: What breed and bloodline
The John Ray bred blueticks r everything ur looking for except most are very cold nosed not average. Most females run bout that size n the males r medium to tall hounds.

I have a litter due in June that should meet your requirements. No papers. Great male bred to a great female. I've never found papers that could hunt.

Re: What breed and bloodline
If you know what traits / strengths / and faults you can live with, pick a breed that you like and start researching. FIRST, you have to know exactly what you want in a single dog or in a combination of dogs, because if you do not, you will never find it.
