Anyone recognize these dogs?

Post by Melanie Hampton »

I have been told that my Brisco and Mabels topside (which is all I know) go back to House and the old Finely River lines.. Anyone recognize these dogs?

I am almost going to have to order some I guess :? They won't do a 6 on Brisco for me, because I only have one side.. Never did track down the dams side... Oh the pain on people who won't keep their papers in order...

I know at that his grandparents were from Oregon... I will keep on searching..

I know that Rough and Ready Jim had straws collected off of him. Ran into a guy who has a 2 year female off of an AI.. BUT they can't remember who owns the straws....

Crap... I hate donating my money to the UKC for that.. BUT... looks like it is going to be the way....

Any of the Oregon or Washington guys heard of these dogs???

We have a bit of the ZABRINSKIE'S blood in our Walker dogs. I will look that name up and see. Have you talked to Steve Zabrinskie about that dog. He would know. He does alot of X's with big game hunters in ID, MT and OR. I do not think that many of his dogs are alive any more. I will look into it more for you.

Hey Nora

Tim O'Leary said that the Zabrinskie dog is one of his dogs and I should get a hold of him.. Don't know how to though. Tim thought he lived in Klamath Falls or Grants Pass :)
Tim said Bohdi's topside came from a guy out of Fort Jones called Dan Deppin (not sure of the spelling).. So I have to try and track him down too.

Thanks Nora :D

Mel alot of the Bray dogs were brought into Washington by Audie and Tony Hayes and are very heavily Spring Creek Rock bred.Other than that I don't recognize anything.

Okay.. I found it interesting... Finally got my 6 gen ped on Brisco's paternal granddam.. All I can say is damn them for not keeping the papertrail on these dogs..

PR "Bray's Lady Lucille" was a granddaughter of "Normans Coon Stopper" and a great-granddaughter to "Gold Creek Mundo", "Houes's Tom Tom" and "Kaw River Chief" ... goes back to Hershberger's dogs also.. But a heck of a lot of House...

I am sending in my order for his paternal grandsire's papers now.. Still haven't tracked down Brisco's dams owners at all to see where her papers are :?

At least it gives me some background info of what my dogs are out of.. Of course that is only one small link
