does anyone know Earl Davis from forks wa ?
I have a dog who I was told was out of Earl Davis's dogs from forks washington, just wanting a little info on the dogs. Thanks

Yo yo, you have the right name, because Earl has been gone for a long long time. Maybe twenty years almost. Maybe even more. Dont quote me on that because I do not remember the year he died. I would like to know who has kept his dogs going if that is the case. I still have papers and photographs from his line of dogs. It would be cool to see who shows up in your dogs background.

Butch Nelson and Tom Barnes still have a little of that blood if I'm not mistaken.

You beat me to the punch Tim. Butch would know about that and he does have some of that blood yet I'm sure. I got a male from him 3 yrs ago and he has some of that in him.

The man who originally had the pup lives in sedro woolley wa his last name is Parker he is in his 80s I guess he mostly hunted in forks and his son either still lives there or hunted over there. The dog is a real small walker male with a lot of white and two peppered ears , I mentioned his name to my father in law who hunted over on the peninsula some and he recalled hunting with a man by the name of Earl ? He told me he had straight bobcat dogs, that was all he could recall though. thanks for all the info I will try to post a picture of the dog .

Yo yo, when you first posted I honestly thought you were being scammed. But with the aditional information you have added, I am leaning more toward you have found something I have been wondering about for awhile. Make it a mission to track down as much background as you can and get as much out of Mr. Parker as you can. Go ahead and contact any of the men he mentions if you can. Your description of the dog sounds exactly like the dogs Earl had back in the 80's. All except one was mostly all white. they might have a couple black spots. They did not have the peppered ears, but had more of the tan head with blaze type look. but that change could easily happen over that much time. I hope you will keep us posted on the dog. I will be curious to hear about the way the dog develops and hunts because that will be a further indicator. Maybe you can be one of the folks that helps keep that line authentic when folks like Mr. Parker are gone.
When Earl had the dogs, they actually were UKC registered Treeing Walkers. I wonder if anyone kept them that way?

My name is Eric Davis and Earl was my grandpa. He died back in 2004 or 2005 if I can recall he gave up his dogs in the lat 90s after local laws made it so you couldn't tree animals. My grandpa was an an avid hunter and had some amazing hounds and let me tell you he was very upset when they made that law. Ill try to figure out who he set his dogs.
