NEW! Stainless Steel Tuff Skin antennas

Post by Buddyw »

I know there were some folks that didn't like a couple things about the Cable Tuff Skin antennas. Some of the issues I was seeing were that the cable would rust and become damaged, a Second issue was they were pretty flimsy.

I've been waiting a while for this Shipment to come in, A couple months ago, I decided to order some Special Cable to fix both of those issues. I ordered a Cable in a Marine Grade Stainless Steel instead of the Standard Galvanized cable that they are all made from currently.

Secondly I tested several different configurations of Cable and rigidness and Choose a 7x7 cable configuration so that the antenna holds it's form. This keeps the antenna Held High in the air giving it the best chance for distance.

These new Stainless Steel Cable antenna's will start shipping Monday.

Yes some of them are breaking, We have tried to shorten them up to try and stop this. I may need to go with a less rigid Cable Build. It's a tough balance between rigid and Flexible.

We've sold thousands of them and most have been working good.

But we will change it out for you. We are also trying a lighter cable which is used for the alpha and can be used for the DC30 and DC40's
