did wildlife ever make a 1000 without an Attenuator switch?

I just bought a wildlife materials 1000, its a 1989 model in good shape but it doesn't have an Attenuator switch. .not even a place For the toggle. Did they start putting the
Attenuator on until a later date?

Yes they made them with the attenuator

I have one with a attenuator.

Not really , I have a short range antenna they call a rubber duckie and it does the same, works well.

I have the same box, same year, no attenuator. Have had it over 20 years. Probably was less money than the one with it brand new. I always though it was just a bother and added to the list of variables. My buddy had the one with it. If they're within hearing I know the spot on the gain that corresponds with either my yagi or di-pole.

Yes they did Ibought one in early 70's #around 1100 model trx6,on off switch,channel selector,
squelch buttons,still works good
