california and nevada map vs western 12 states map

Post by bowtech36 »

What are the differences between the western topo map that has only california and nevada compared to the western 12 states map card? The one with twelve maps is cheaper? is it a knock off no good one?

The less country a map shows in theory the more detailed it will be, since I plan on traveling I bought the 100 K that shows the whole US...so far it has worked fine for me the topo lines are not as tight but unless you are using it to walk in the dead of the night I don't see how it would make much difference, between your eyeball and the topo shown on 100 k you should be just fine. I scoured Amazon and picked up the 100K for $40.
I would like to try the birdseye deal just cause I know how awesome having arial imagery is at work but I understand they can be a bit fussy on the Garmin?

Thanks liz. I heard you can just go into your settings and switch the birds eye off. Does the 220 offer birds eye imagery or just the 320. I love google earth you see so much more trails and water that would be nice.
