My name is jack and I`m 63 all most and hunted hounds sence 1958-2004/ now im disabled an live in olympia wa. in an apt. about 4 blocks from the state capitol bld. next too a nice city park. I don`t drive nor own a car these days and ride the city transit bus places too shop etc..Icjust got my first computer about the 1 st of feb.-08 and I cant see,learning how to type all over again after many yrs. I`ve made many hunting friends over the yrs and enjoyed hunting both coon hound and fox hounds an crosses betwee all breds of each.I started-out hunting grayfox and coon with Dave Fletcher,Ray Holt and George Reynolds of Knights Landing Ca. Sonny Kendricks of Twodoore Ca. and Don Burks of Rio Linda Ca would stop by when I got old enoughf too drive and carry me on his dog trade route and I started meeting other hunters.
Ive belonged too chc, SanJoaquine Houndsman club of gault ca. and I helped in founding thr Rio Linda Houndsmen club out of Bob Sages gurage. I belonged and was a co-founder and sect. of California Redbone Tree Hound club in its infant stages and I`ve campayened coon dogs and I`ve swam dogs events and field trial events and the big packs ca bear hunts entered-up ! I went to the biggame comission meetings at the statecaptl. in ca in sacramento and talked takeing up the cause for hunting rights on bear and asking them too put a kill season and bag limitt on cooh/that helped us in83-84 and i was on the map in ca and then in 90/ I moved myself and my wife Val and my son Buckey and my little daughter Amanda too my birth state of Tn. I had had all of dfg I could stand ! I lived ther untill 05 0f jan 31 st. and flew out too wa st too live with my son and his fianciee and my granddaughtesa who asked me too come. I gave up my PKC b&t and said go by too my churc out of Big Rock tn. and my hunten buddies there and flew out here and now I live in this retirement & handycapted 6 sory apts building down town. I can`t drive and no place too park a car and don`t get too see or have coffie with any hound hunters here in this area/though ive seen a couple dog boxes in passing by as i ride the city trancit buss.I still got my hunten bibbs and boots and thats it gave all the rest away/ in tn befor I left/i cant walk much have pad an my legs just dont last and my lungs rnt much cause i dont get round. I wish I had a veichel I`d like too go to a swims or draggs ans miss it.I talked to my old friends in Ca. Shorty Marten of Gualt Ca and Don Poore of Dry Town Ca and ther still tryen too hunt and attend swim an drag events and Lippy knows Boone Shockly of the Placervill area and I hear Boone is back at in Ca also. they are in lat 70 i belive. Rick Summers of Elk Grove Ca. was a friend talked too him last wee too and he is around 45 I think and still hunts and still goes too the swims & draggs. but alot of mt ole buds are dead or quit . I belonged too PKC and enjoyed the hunts in tn.& Kty. and knew Dan Hambey and Roy Tremble in Ky they are in the officers and reps for CHX. so ya know something about me now and hope ya post too me,I follow your treds an reply too em/ I`d like to share what I`ve acumulated too understand as a srudent of houinds and of note too hunters ive had contack with an deserve comment on for who they are.jack
