Sniffed Up A Seed

The day after Thanksgiving we made a circle, half way through one of the hounds had a sneezing fit. We didn't think nothing of it. Couple days later she is swelled up between the nose and eyes. it progressively got worse swelling around her eyes and neck. My wife mentioned it to a friend who also has hounds and he told her she sniffed up a seed and it will fester out somewhere on her. I was skeptical, but a few days later she had an open wound under her ear and wet (puss) all over her from it bursting. Yesterday got home from making a loop and noticed one of the pups showing the same initial symptoms. Has any one heard of this or had this happen to them?

Yeah, You see alot of Bird dogs that that happens to. Its pretty serious and can cause death. I would run them into the vet... The seed goes up in there nostrel cavity and bounces around threw out there body cutting things untill it finds a spot to settle then just works its way out if your lucky. Take them to the vet...
