Ear problem, need help

Post by twispcougarhunter »

We have two dogs now with it seemed to be ear mites or something. They've had it for a few years now and I can't get anything to get it stopped. They shake their head like their trying to shake out water and do it about every 10 seconds. These are actually my boys dogs and I'd of never let this go on this long but he don't care much. Tried every ear mite and tick powder there is. I had almost the exact same problem about 15 yrs. ago and got something from one of the hound dog catalogs that cured this but can't seem to remember or find the same stuff again. I even talked to the guy because he guaranteed it would work in 7 days if I sprayed it in every day and worked it in. It sure enough did work but does anybody know of such a medication? The guy wouldn't disclose what it was but guaranteed it to work and it did. I do have some DDT and was thinking about useing that. This might not be a critter (flea, or mite) problem but maybe a fungus or somehing and the DDT won't cure that. Open for suggestions. Bill
