I know this sounds a little out there, but there are dog sled guys and others using a dog sized hamster wheel for exercising. Some of the Iditarod guys claim they have to remove dogs from the wheels because they won't stop running. I'm sure there would be a bit of a learning curve for the dogs, but couldn't that be a simple and safe way to exercise hounds? Has anyone tried this?

It would be fun to watch and I bet it would work for hounds.

I couldn't imagine a dog wanting to run in something like that but it possible I've seen some carousel work pretty good

Re: Exercising hounds with a giant hampster wheel?
I wondered how they would keep the dog tethered in there and now I see that they don't. I have some hard headed hounds that would not want to jump on and off that thing. I wondered if it was powered or just made to move by the dog.
