NM deer draw

Kinda got screwed thsi year on my deer hunt and drew a 4th choice for unit 47 by wagon mound. Anyone that may have hunted that area and has some advice on hunting it please let me know. As it stands the only public land I can find is the canadian river canyon and the grasslands. Thanks

Got screwed? I dont know about that Ryan, thats where some dude took the state record out of last year!

Theres deer by the hundreds out there!

You oughta be done first day, with IN LIKE TEN MINUTES BUDDY. lol

I have hunted bear and barbary up that way...lots of private, try to get access on a ranch. I do think the only public land is the canyon...Mills I think. Interesting country up that way, I hunted a ranch there a couple of years ago, for bear, I followed the rancher in and we drove miles across the prairie, I thought there was no way a bear would be here, there was not even a tree...then all of the sudden this deep canyon appears right in the middle of the prairie..lots of game in that hole surrounded by grasslands. try to get permission to hunt some private.

Thanks Onza. Im working on trying to get access now but if that dont work out Ill check on that mills place. And Mike, I swear you just doomed my hunt with that 10 minute talk.
