Skinner Creeks spring season.

Post by chilcotin hillbilly »

Well with the odd bear showing up here in Canada and clients a week a way the dogs need tuning up. This year i am training 5 pups which is 3 more then normal, all are from my stock and are almost 10 months at this time. Two of these are heading to Norway to one of this sites members. Maybe Hans can chime in from time to time.
Enjoy the pictures.

You bet Jeff, the pups are looking great. All the pups were on at least 20 lynx and cougar this winter and should see 30 or more bears before the end of June. Oscar has been on around 90 cats and about the same bears and is working his way to the top of the pack. Not bad for 2 years.

I am pretty sure a Plott would have got to the tree, I probably would have had to wait for them a while. :o

Dog walked , ran and bayed up this young boar for 15 miles before i called them off. The longest race Rosie and Spot have had this year. they are my 10 month old pups.

Finished up a great hunt with 8 trees and one good bay up in 5 days.
James took two big boars, in a wild bay up.
This hunter was shooting a 577NE, 750 grain Woodleigh bullets travelling at 2050 ft/sec. Great bear gun to say the least. You know you have shot a gun after pulling the trigger.
