So last night I took my pup over to the gal's house, it was late in the day and dusk was settling in, all of the sudden the pup opened up with a bay and then started to growl and bay back n forth, I looked over and he was facing a large bush and advancing on it with his tail raised and fur on edge.
Anyway as I got closer to him I gave him the command 'Get Some' which usually sends him into the brush after the animal, As I circled the bush, I realized he wasnt moving but still growling, I looked down to my right and about 2ft away was a grizzly bear! And the pup was goin nuts!
Well we managed to calm the pup down and get him to back away from the Stone statue of the grizzly bear!
It took awhile but eventually my gal started breathing again from laughing so hard, and I was outta my stunned daze from watchin my dog bay up a statue, a bit longer after that.

never had that happen but when we hunt a spot around the lake we hunt, a guy we know has a really old redbone that will come over when he hears the dogs barkin since he just lets the old dog run free now. and he took up through the woods towards were r dogs was. walkin is as fast as the old dog can go. well he got up in the woods a little ways and started barkin treed so we went to see what he was doin and there was a little tree about 4ft tall that had a bundle of leaves balled up in it and that is what he had treed. i think he might be senial. great story though dogs does some really funny stuff sometimes

I was out coon hunting in the early morning. I was walking with 2 of my dogs and my buddys 3 because my dogs where pups. I had walked for about 3 hours down a leavy and could hear 3 dogs baying something up down the leavy. I waited to see if the 2 old dog that where out, wanted to do with what the young dogs were baying. I never heard them open. so i stared walking down the road a little faster, and then i seen them running in and out of the brush baying at the water. I got down there and couldnt see anything from the road, so i walked down to the water and found my dogs baying up 2 mexicans that where duck hunting. It is still talked about around friends.

i live in roseburg oregon and we go through a town called winston on our way hunting sometimes. in the town of winston there is a statue of a chetah. seems everytime we stop at the light where that chetah is the dogs stick their heads outa the box and start baying the statue.
