Fox race

Sprinkled rain all nite last night, deer hounds ran great today came into camp ate supper and loaded the fox hounds and went back. They turned a fox out of the road and opened a few times but couldn't do anything with it, while they were trying I saw eyes way down the road. Trotted them on up there a few minutes later and they hit it. I got out fox tracks were there where it was eating a run over snake. Dogs were having a tough time with it, couldn't move it over 150 yds off the road and finally came back out in the road. One of the young dogs went down the road and circled back out a little past where they lost it at and hit it, when the old dog got to her it got better and better till they finally put that ol fox to running. Was a big running fox I had to keep moving to stay in good hearing of it. Fox holed or treed after a little over 2 hours. When the dogs came out they had got into a SKUNK at some point and man are they ripe, put zip lock bags on my hands to take the collars off. Sure glad they load and unload without having to touch them. I'm charging the garmins right now with the truck charger run through the door and the collars on the toolbox.
