Laikas are aboriginal hunting dogs from Siberia. They will hunt what ever game you choose to hunt. Over in Sweden the do a lot of moose and boar hunting. They are very natural tree dogs and they typically start treeing early. I mainly squirrel and coon hunt them but mine flush and hunt game birds as well. If the game bird goes to a tree they tree them. I own three one from America and two imports. One is imported from the Ukraine and the other from Siberia. I just enjoy them and they are not for everyone they do not pack well but will hunt in breeding pairs or their own laikas from the home. Terrible kennel dogs and prefer to be near their owner. Here is a pick of my young male from Siberian. He is starting to make a dog he is eleven months.

A nice moose a Laika bayed up in Sweden.
