Central Texas HillCo hunt

Post by longshot »

We made a short hunt tues night that turned into a several hour race. We had my 2 curs and 1 Jagd and then Rex put down a 8mo old Jagd.

They started a good boar track from a feeder and bayed him 200yards in the brush. He broke and ran like the wind. We tracked to them 2 hours and 40min later and found them caught on a nice sow about 140lbs. Didnt get home will 1:30am.

Turned out again at 7am and hit hogs right off the bat. It seemed every couple hundred yards the dogs would rig off the Polaris Ranger and catch out on 100lb hogs.

Once the bay dogs were out and we had a scrappy 70lb boar walk out so we turned Pickle my young amergo on him. He charged her, and she locked him down.......LOL

Total from both hunts was 7hog

This is Rex leading Pickle to a bay(he is a real HOSS, he hunts in shorts and tennis shoes, looks like he needs a trip to S.Texas is in order.......LOL):

When I look at the post I only see a space where they should be. I try to edit it and it says they are there. As long as yall can see them then I guess everything is good.

I saw the pictures the first time I looked but now even if I hit refresh they don't show up. Noticed that on some other posts too...

Nice to see how hogs are hunted... but I am happy we don't have those here. Get enough trouble when a heard of Javalina get in under the fence and those are only 40-50lbs.
