Was told he is 2 yrs old.hes 65 lbs and im thinking hes not pure black and tan.whats your thought.

It could be a lot of things. Leopard cur/hound, black n tan mix , does it hunt? And how well?

Long ears.shorter type hound.faster then most hounds i had.

Not saying it is, but I agree with Scott I have seen some leopards that look exactly like this and fit the hunting description. His front feet look better than the feet I have seen on some of the leopards. Back feet are a match. Excessive dew claws are common in some lines.

I dont know much about leopard hounds but is it common for them to be black and tan in colour

Leopards come in all colors, including black and tan. In fact, it the most common other than merle.
is there any brindling in the black? looks like it might have some Plott in it to me..
