Ray Nelson Hounds
Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me. I am looking for hounds bred by Ray Nelson or lines from his hounds. He was my uncle and a lion hunter for the government that started his own breed of dogs. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Thank you in advance.

I never met him and I don’t know of any of his dogs. But his name is familiar to me and maybe to most of us on here. There were a few people in my life who recommended him to me as perhaps the most reliable source for a good cat dog. The fact that his lion dogs were equally good on bobcat is rare.
I don’t want to discourage you in your search, but I have watched multiple times that when a breeder dies, his dogs quickly change and sometimes become nothing like they were when he was still the guardian over all the breeding decisions.
