Backpackers

Anybody have a good way to get a horse broke to backpackers coming down the trail. I have a young mustang who hates backpackers and mountain bikers coming down the trail can get down right dangerous sometimes when there is no room to get off the trail.

I’d buy a backpack and start introducing him to it by hanging it on a fence. Then try some sweet feed or whatever he likes, on it so he has to eat it off of it. Repetition is the key. Stuff it with a pillow, wear it around until he doesn’t know what you look like without one.
As far as the bike, I’d basically do the same thing. If you have kids, buy them a bike. They’ll desensitize him without even knowing.
