Hunting partner?

Post by king »

I love to hunt and spend every spare minute hunting. I know North Idaho fairly well and asked for a cougar hunt for my 18th birthday but their $4,000, is there anyone who would just hunt for fun or cut the price down some? I have snowmobiles, horses and whatnot but no hounds. If anyone is looking for a partner to tag along with them I'd love to! thanks

The main problem you're going to run into is not only attitude, but the law, we can't take a sack of dog food, or a gallon of gasoline, without it being considered working for pay, "Guiding/Outfitting". There is no shortage of guys that would like to go Cat hunting, I get hit up all year long, dog food, gas, any expensise, or just fun, and anymore I refuse outright. I'm sure you're an alright guy, but once it comes to dropping the hammer on a cat, you're going to have to pay for it, or..... do it the expensive way; raise and train dogs. It's not like most of us are looking for guys to come and kill, because most of us would just as soon shoot with a camera. I know of a few guys that would like to find another tag holder, but I personally wish they would go away permanently anyway. I think that's the general feeling overall. If you just want some pictures, that's a different story.

couldn't have said it better myself onalimb............I did it the expensive way, like you and most of the people on this board, and to continue to shoot ourselves out of a sport for free is just plan stupid!
