Lion hound

For years I wanted a grade A lion dog. I saved for six years for the money. Did all my homework and finally found a dog that i thought was right for me.

The big day came and I received the dog from the trainer. Oh what a long sleepless night it was.

I woke early and loaded ol duke in the truck and went looking for a lion track.

Upon finding a fresh track I dropped Ol Duke. Ol Duke hit the ground and sniffed here and there and just layed down!? You could only imagine my shock.I grabbed Ol Duke by the collar and led him to the lion track. For sure this would get him going. Ol duke just did a circle and layed down once again. Frustrated I led Duke down the track 100 yards or so hissing and razzing him all the way. For sure this will fire him up. I unsnapped the lead and duke just layed down.

Back to the house i went. For sure there has been a mistake. Damn Duke was the worst lion dog I had seen.

I called the trainer{ a little hot at the time} and explained the mornings hunt. There was a long pause on the phone and the man said.............LION? I thought you meant lyin. Ol duke is the best at Lyin on the porch.
