Astro 220 and DC-30 Interference

Post by bluedogs249 »

As most of you all know the Astro 220 tracking systems are selling very well.
There will come a point in time, probably this summer or fall, when some collars will interfere with each other due to the fact that there are too many collars in a given area.
At that point you will have to change your com setting, if your dog is within 5 feet of you or wait until the other dogs leaves your range.
Think about it!!
If there are more than 14 dogs, all with DC-30 collars, in a 5 square mile area, especially in the mountains, there will be some kind of interference with one or more of the collars.
Garmin's engineers need to add more frequencies to the Astro 220 system.
What is your opinion?? :agmnt
It's Always Fun Looking Up!!!

Please help me out here. I am not familiar with the DC30's just the DC20's. With the DC20's there is 45 different dog ID's. That means within a five mile radious, 45 different dogs can be in that area without interference. I assume that the DC30's offer just as many seperate frequencies.
