Got skunked...help?

Post by The Vise »

So I caught a skunk cuz I was too lazy to follow the advice i read on here about elevating the trap. I got the thing released after some fun but now the trap stinks of course. It's been over a week and it still has the skunk stench about it so I was wondering if a coon will even go near it now??? Also looking for some good tricks for getting the smell off it??? Thank you my friends :-)
Get er done!

OK, I'll try again. Bury the trap in dirt for about a week or maybe two. It will take care of all the smell. Getting skunks out of traps is easy... with the right chemicals. Simply tie a rag on a string, soak it in Chloriform. Walk around to the back side of the trap and set down the rag. Keep hold of the string and walk back to the other side. Pull the string so the rag slides over the trap and let it sit there for about a minute or two. The skunk will go to sleep. Remove him and off you go.
