young redbone problems

im looking for a good way to start 2 young dogs (both are 12 months) on bear. the male is running and treeing coon some but dosnt stay on tree well. the female isnt doing quite as well. i dont know anyone with bear dogs to run with. also how do i correct the problem of them leaving the tree. i can never get there in time to keeep them on tree?

I think I would get them good and solid on the coon stuff before starting on the bears then if legal put out a bait to get some good fresh tracks for them to start. they will probaly take right to the bear tracks if they have it in them.
As far as the treeing goes they are still young and will probably get better with time, but you can help with some drags with a hang up coon at the end. Make sure you make it so you can get close so you can watch and put them back on the tree when they leave it.
If they're going to run trash, they better run to cath it!!!
