Ok, my fault, I didn't specify. What I mean, is how many dogs are required to keep enough pressure on a bobcat, to put him up a tree?

Hey, I got a 6 mnth old bluetick, who's showing that he's def. ready to start.So far he's been on 3 road killed coon at 1-3 mnths and a live coon twice at 6 mnths. Before he ever saw a live coon though, at 5 mnths he was scenting and tracking short distances all on his own. Opening some too!

How successful and worth your time do ya think it would be to create a site devoted entirely to hunting bobcat? A site that would be directed totally to those in pursuit of bob's? And is there sucha site already?

Just use a Plasticatch trap. their about 60$, 10" will work fine. bait it with apple slices, keeps cat's away. and set it in a good location where you know coons are locating. You'll have him in the morning, guaranteed!

I use 4" hooks baited with beef liver and staked to the bank. Now don't worry none if the livers are rotton, maybe even got some maggots, that's just all the better!

I talked to one cat trapper who used to use his dogs to help him find a catch! They were terriers of some sorts. Used to use em' when he anchored his traps with drags, you know so he didn't spend all day looking for the animal. He left that up to his dogs! :D
