Some of the cold nosed dogs I have hunted with were Swampland, Bluff Creek, and Salmon River.

For Myself and My hunting style I prefer plotts. I have seen different packs of dogs and the best I have seen where plotts. They worked for that guy and they work for ME. Not saying there isn't great dogs in all breeds plotts just please me more and make it more enjoyable for my hunting.

I have a pup that has some salmen river, bluff creek, and swampland. He is seven months old and last week he was on two bear trees and a bay up for a couple of hours. He is gritty enough for me, trailing good already, and very tree minded.
I think the swamplands are great all around dogs.
