Re: Idaho Bear Hunters Need your Help!!!!!!!

Here's a link to the comment section on the F&G "alternate" proposals. Anyone from anywhere can comment so get in there and let them know what you want. I noticed the comment period ends this Sunday the 8th at midnight, not much time for comment. Option two looks good and I would not count option ...

Re: Question for nmguide?

I don't know the man or his dogs. But I do know a lot of guides and outfitters and none of them are willing to part with a dog that's worth its feed ration for less than a small fortune. If they have a dog that can get it done they're hunting that dog until it tips over. Maybe the outfitters are ...

Re: Fairfield Idaho houndsmen

I hope I'm not included in that %80. I don't believe I've ever ran into you on that side of the mountain though. Most of the guys who hunt up there are dicks because they have to drive from twin or boise. Long way to drive only to realize everyone else hunts there too. I have to laugh at guys that ...

You suckers better buck up and donate. If not to help preserve our way of life, then to keep them new collars from being sent to my house!

Re: Porcupine Territory

We don't have too many around here, but if we're close to one, I assure you my dogs will find it. Especially if they haven't caught a bear in a few days they will gladly substitute porky for boo-boo.
I think cats eat a lot of them as well. I have yet to skin a bob from around here that didn't have ...

Wait our dogs aren't supposed to do that? I don't know what part of Idaho you're from but around here, we call that a two tree day. HA!

TT10 Collar on/off function

Just wondering if anyone knows of an update or code I could use to control when my collars are turned off. I think it would be a great idea if my collars could only be turned off if they were in close proximity to my Alpha handheld.
Last bear season I had one of my dogs and collar stolen by an ...

Giant bear lollipop for bait (hard candy with a chain in it)

The things you boys do to keep boo boo happy. What ever happened to a little corn and molasses?

I'm with fish, quit your job and hunt every day. You'll find out soon enough it's hard to spend money if you're not making any. HA!

Re: Garmin Apha 100 combo's

I agree with the previous replies. If you read the fine print on the websites where you can find these setups cheaper, they are NOT warrantied by Garmin or even supported by them, ie, cheap Chinese knockoffs. If you're going to spend the money for the Alpha buy it for someone you know is willing to ...

Re: Posting pictures on the internet

I think this should serve as a reminder to all of us who like to post pictures here or anywhere else on the web.
All of us who hunt bear have seen a bear in a tree or at bay, all of us who hunt cats have seen cats in a tree, and so on. We should not need to see pictures of treed game as proof of ...

Re: Mules

I don't know the man or his mules, but I would wary of a man who sits atop an appaloosa mule! HA! Every appy mule I ever worked with was only good for two things; bite marks on my backside, and bear bait. I hope your experience with them is somewhat better.

Re: Diatomaceous earth

It is good stuff, but for it to kill fleas, you have to dust your dog's with it.
