You can use anything that will run a deer to run them. A big dog will run them and a small dog like a beagle will push them. Typically the does will run with a lot of turns and in no particular direction. The bigger bucks line out and leave in a hurry usually. Depending on how the land lays is how ...

I have left my collars on before and when I recharged them and went hunting they were set to 2 min. updates. I am guessing that the rescue mode turns on automatically because if you aren't close enough to communicate with the collar you cant change it and that would take away the need for rescue mode.

I am hunting with 2 collars, I have the birdseye installed on a 16gb sd. Mine does the same thing about everytime I take it out. Invest in a shock collar. Put them in the truck and shock em when he jumps out. It will take a few times they will learn tho.
