Re: Bloodhound as a cat dog?
I wouldnt waste my time personaly. I guarantee their slow. And they probably eat twice as much. Anyways i've run 2 3 and 4 day old lion tracks man, you'd better quit your job cause a 2 or 3 day old track will take a while to get 2 the end. I dont waste my time on anything older than 2 and even thats ...

Re: many questions?
Sounds like he's a rigger but not a starter. The only reason a dog doesnt start is lack of leading or experience. Personally i would walk in and find out what direction the Bear headed out of the bait put him on it and walk with him and coax him until he goes and dont ship the rest until you know he ...

Re: looking for dry ground lion dog
Throw a price out there that your willing to pay and i'm sure you'll get what you'll pay for. Honestly it'll probably cost you a couple thousand. I know a few who'd sell for the right price. Truth is most almost all hounds will dry ground a lion most guys just dont know it and never really try or ...

Just curious if anyone runs the purebreds down AZ or N.M. and how they do compared 2 the ones bred for that country.

Re: 3-cats 1-coon 1-tree
Yeah, i've caught 3 or 4 even had one with a youngin once but i elected 2 let them go for another day. Oh well i think its just the look in their eyes when you tree one, thats what makes it so hard 2 pull the trigger. The last one looked just like my Uncle Ed. So maybe on the next one i catch i'll ...

Re: Looking for alion dog
Take a drive 2 Utah or AZ anywhere, get out, throw a rock in any direction and you're liable 2 hit 3 houndsmen and 15 dogs with that one rock. For Lions 8 out of 10 dogs will turn out. Personally i like the NM & AZ dogs.
