I borrowed Poundhound`s dog box idea of angled upper sides since I thought it to be a good idea.
Made from three eights ply on sides and bottom, top being five eights ply.
All the corners have been fiberglassed, and the whole top glassed too. Plywood attached to two by two frame with screws and consruction adhesive. S1 Epoxy sealer on the exterior ply and metal, with paint over top. Custom welded doors and handles from scrap I had lying about. Already had the rig frame from another project, so I used it as it was one less thing to fab.
I wanted the top to be removeable, for easy access for cleaning and for installation of ridgid foam insulation later in the winter, so I hinged the top lid, with through-bolt fittings to secure the rear lid. Have a rubber mat for the rig deck.
Used marine deck plates for the box holes. The inserts just screw on and out as desired.
Dang box should be pretty water tight and not double in weight after a few soggy outings, which is common hunting here.
