Largest lions you have heard of documented.

I would have to see a photo of the mount and I would have a better idea. I'm pretty sure, however these guys are lyin'.

I would have to say yaak those cats in the photos are questionable at best. 6 3/4 inch track

I did mount the Colorado state record cat. Unless a cat is put on a scale how can you give it a number? Liontracker you don't have to check on those measurements on the Williams cat because I mounted it on a cougar form and know the measurements of the form when I got it ready for the hide.

Pesonally, I'm with Yaak on this whole subject. He is more than an expert, and probably seen and dealt with more lion than any other person around.

Yaak, this one broke the scale at the nevada fish and game office in elko, nevada. So never got a real measurement on it. It was harvested by my friend Jared Carter. How did this 10 year old lion compare to some other big ones in your opinion? "if you can remember" This pic doesn't do this mount justice but its the only one i could find.

I have seen this lion and he is huge, you nned to see his pictures easy 220 lion.

Those are some teeth let me tell you. Are they the standard for large cougar? I had a large tom leopard mounted and his teeth in his skull looked much like this. I was surprized how much longer they were than a large cougar's teeth. PH's explaination: Most African prey species have a much thicker hide than do North American prey species, hence they longer teeth. Sounds logical to me..

Poser, Jareds cat was probably the largest I have done from NV. I remember it being especially beefy in the shoulders.
