red dogs

Post by hunt14 »

Ike is their any of Phil Taylors' stuff in your red dogs? I know Stan Mecham has some good red dogs that have some of Phils blood in them. Just curious to see how your dogs are bred.

Dennis,

I think there was a small typo in your one post...

You said, "Personally I don't care what color or breed anybody hunts" but the typo makes it a bit confusing.

I think you meant to say, "Personally I don't care what color or breed anybody hunts as long as it's a redbone." ;) ;)

There doesn't that clear things up? ;) ;) Thanks for posting those pictures, pretty nice photos. Never seen you post a photo of a red dog under a tree before and I was wondering when you were gonna do it. ;)

Just razzin' ya, kind of like Paco, I guess I couldn't resist. Back to the subject, me and a buddy once used Dr. Pew to try and artificially get a dog pregnant. It didn't take and I've seen horses do the same thing.

Sometimes nature makes the final decision regardless of what we do. But keep trying and you might get lucky. My guess is if that Dr. Pew can't get the dog pregnant, it ain't gonna happen. But take your check book with you, you'll need it.

Sorry for the delayed response. Took the day off work and took the girls up on the mountain to play around.

I was actually stunned to see a photo of yours awhile back that had some dark colored dog that wasn't red. You've been carrying that redbone banner for a couple of years so I was surprised to see a non red dog in the pack.

I actually have three solid red dogs now (one is a pup) and while they are just grade dogs and not the high powered stuff you are throwing on the ground, Dr. Bess is not the only one who has poked a little fun at me over that. ;) I actually have quite a few people that tend to mention that every time I unload those red dogs. They even got Tony razzing me now.

I just tell 'em that while it's an honor and a privilege for my dogs to be mentioned in the same breath as the Wolf Pack, they are not worthy and besides... those red dogs of mine might make the tree, but it's the blue ones doing the catching. ;) ;)

Have a great weekend. Much as I'd like to be able to say they were out of some high powered line of legendary grand nite champions, etc, etc... alas they are just mutts like all my others... got a little of everything in them. My loss I guess. :( :(

Hound1,

So are you guys getting pumped up for lion and bear when deer is over? I got a call from a guy with a bear tag who wants me to go hunt a day or two, but I'll just have to see when!

I recently tore down and removed my garage and old broken up drive way. Then we poured a footer, foundation and framed an small extension to my house and a double car garage. Damn that's alot work for an older fart. I starting a shingling project on 2200 square feet today and hope I live long enough to finish it ha................

On a serious note, I hope to be running bears or lions next weekend if the good lord is willing and the creek don't rise..

Keep'em, treed,
