Re: fuel for thought on cat pop. in mt.

Lets start with enforcement of the rules already in place(put the heat on fish and feathers) Make then check kill sites and reported illegal outfitters.
Shorten the report time, we are in the 21st centry and nobody is out of cell or sat phone coverage for very long to cut down on the overrun of ...

Re: Sick dog

I'd use clavamox. It is expensive, but is broad spectrum. It doesn't seem to have the potential for side effects like cephalexin. Amoxicillin alone isn't strong enough for a cat bite. I can't stress enough how filthy cat bites are.

I guess I just see it different than most. Didn't know who you were at first, now that I do, I honestly thought you had more class... I do surely appreciate your work, but I just see this as another example of wildlife being sold out. I would of had a lot more respect for Denny Austad if he had ...

Re: torn ear

Guys, all good advice and experience........

I had a dog prick her ear on an old abandoned strand of barbwire fence. It was bleeding like a river, but she was wild to hunt. I've had plenty of ear wounds of all shapes and sizes, but never had one super serious or life threatening, until now.
It ...

You can contact Ken and book a pup. I think he is 6 months out, but not sure.

Re: Does anyone use the Tracker Maxima or Complete Reciever?

I use the tracker maxima. like it a lot. it is comparable to the PITA yagi antennae. small and compact. I have a truck mount antenna for the maxima. works great if I want to keep reception when not walking and have to move a couple canyons over.
I've never used the strike collars, but I believe the ...

Re: moveing on to something eles

i agree with sheimer.
I do make sure of the country i am headed into, then I walk with them. i feel it makes better dogs in the long run. they learn something every-time they are out. sure they will have no catch days, but i'd rather them and me strolling around the countryside than anything else.

Re: Ken Duncan (Dalton Creek Kennels)

I just sent my money to Ken for a Sue X Mingo female. It will be around 6 months from now. Any input on this cross would be great. I see razorrb has the cross.
I have a female out of Toby, which is Mingo's brother. She is a hunting fool.

Thanks.
